Youth Conference

2 weeks ago we had our Ward Youth Conference. Friday we drove to Vernal and had a little devotional outside the Temple then headed to a meadow another hour away for lunch and to play games. We then went to the lake and skipped rocks and just played around for a little bit. Then we continued on our drive over the Flaming Gorge Dam towards our campsite. We spent the evening just hanging out as a ward and having a blast. We split into tents for the night and my friends and I stayed up talking for the longest time, when we finally went to sleep the next thing we realized was our leaders waking us up to pack up, eat breakfast and hit the road. We drove over near the Dam where we picked up some rafts and we rafted down the river twice. The second time not all the leaders wanted to go again, so my raft was without a leader. It was all but 2 of the guys, me, Casey, Nina, Ali, and Emily. It was fun, except for the part where all the guys wanted to hit every single rock they could see. We got stuck a couple of times and almost flipped over in the middle of a rapid. When we were finished we ate some dinner (left over sandwiches from lunch) and started the drive home. We made a couple of stops at gas stations so we could stretch and what not, and finally made it home a little after ten. We were all very tired but it was so much fun!

The Past Few Weeks...

The past few weeks have been pretty eventful. 3 weeks ago Mom, Nikki, and I went up to Bountiful to help the Jacksons clean their house and help make sure everything was ready for them to leave. Aunt Becky and Uncle Chris went into the MTC on the 21st then they left for Brazil on the 27th along with Amanda and Aimee. While everyone cleaned Amanda and I were the girls running the errands. It was so nice to just be together since it would be our last time for 10 months or so.

Then Mom, Erin, and I headed off to Girls Camp...Wahoo! We went up to Camp Mia Shalom in the Wilderness Area. It was my last year of camp :(. But it was so much fun! I love the girls in our ward, they are some of my best friends!

Last week we went camping up the Alpine Loop in a campground. Tuesday night Uncle David and Jeana came up and had dinner with us then just played around. Wednesday we had to come back home for Young Women's because we had a Camp Re-cap. Thursday Nikki, Jeff, and Brandon came up and on Friday Grandma came. We packed up Saturday morning, went for a little hike and then came home and went swimming in our little blow-up pool. It felt so good! Then that night we went over the the Jacksons and had dinner. Yay for friends!
